History of Club
The Lions Club of Piler was chartered on October 21, 1980, under the sponsorship of the Hosakota Lions Club, part of the Mysore Lions District in Karnataka State. Its founding officers included Charter President Lion Dr. P. Nagaraja, Secretary Lion G.V. Srinadha Reddy, and Treasurer Lion J. Nataraja. The Lions Club of Piler operates within Lions District 317E and currently boasts a membership of 99 individuals.
The Lions Club of Piler sponsored the following Lions Clubs: Lions Club of Tirupati Greater, Lions Club of Ginco, Lions Club of Tirupati Central, Lions Club of Pakala Platinum, Lions Club of Kallur, Lions Club of Bangarupalem, Lions Club of Kalikiri Gold, Lions Club of Nagalapuram, Lions Club of Somala, Lions Club of Kuppam Elite, Lions Club of Satyavedu, Lions Club of Madanapalli Megestic, and Lions Club of Bangalore Prasanti.
Lions Service Trust of Piler
- “The members of Lions Club of Piler have formed a trust called the “Lions Service Trust of Piler” to oversee permanent projects within the newly constructed hospital, which spans nearly 7000 sq ft. The main projects at the hospital include a ‘Dialysis and Diagnostic Centre’ and, as part of the Vision First initiative, ‘IOL Screening and Operations’. A featured permanent project that will be established is the ‘Skill Development Centre’.”
- The trust has the ability to collect funds for service activities and permanent projects under the provision of Sections 12A and 80G of the Income Tax Act.
Mission Statement

Aim:

Objectives:
- Healthcare Initiatives:
- Conduct regular medical camps focusing on diabetes awareness, childhood cancer screening, and rural health awareness.
- Organize dental camps to provide oral health check-ups and treatments to underserved communities.
- Establish a Diagnose and Dialysis Centre to offer affordable healthcare services to patients in need.
- Vision Care:
- Conduct IOL (Intraocular Lens) eye operations to restore vision for individuals suffering from cataracts and other eye conditions.
- Animal Welfare:
- Organize veterinary camps to provide healthcare services and vaccinations to animals in rural areas.
- Educational Empowerment:
- Organize educational camps and workshops to promote literacy, skill development, and awareness on health and environmental issues among youth and adults.
- Environmental Sustainability:
- Undertake plantation drives to contribute to environmental conservation and combat climate change.
- Community Engagement:
- Organize blood donation camps to ensure a steady supply of blood for medical emergencies and treatments.
- Hunger Relief:
- Collaborate with local communities and organizations to provide relief to those affected by hunger and food insecurity.
By focusing on these objectives, the Lions Club of Piler aims to create a positive impact on society by addressing critical healthcare needs, promoting education, fostering environmental sustainability, and enhancing community well-being.
